Although it has technically been fall for over a week now, it hasn't felt much like it here in Western Montana. This year's abnormally long forest fire season has left the valleys in a haze of smoke for well over a month, and I think I can speak for many of us when I say that we can't wait for cooler temperatures to help put a stop for those stubborn fires. And it looks like that cooler weather is nearly upon us! Time to make sure your littles are stocked up on cozy clothes to keep them warm while playing in piles of leaves and whatever other outdoor activities they enjoy.
For example, this adorable hat! Locally made by Montana Solar Creations from upcycled wool. Cute AND warm! We carry them in sizes ranging from three months to eight years, in both wool and cotton, with varying decals on the front. We only have a handful in stock, so stop by soon to snag yours!
In addition to toys, crafts, and clothing, we also have a pretty awesome selection of books. Come by and peruse our bookshelf! We're open until 4pm today!
So is a lot of smoke...ugh. We're celebrating today with a cooperative window display.
This morning we spent some time outside watching the Homecoming Parade (that goes right past our little store) and adorning our window with pretty "leaves."
We still have our paint out if you want to pop in to "leave" your mark.
Happy Fall!
This is in two days and you don't want to miss it! You'll definitely want to check out the kiddie fashion show at 3pm and all of the sweet bands, including the WhizPops!
Bouncy house, face painting, by our friend Kate, arts and crafts for kiddos, food, and all kinds of fun to be had on Sunday, starting at 3. We hope we see you!
Are you headed to any birthday parties this weekend? Let us make your shopping easy! We have your perfect toddler gift ready to go. These push toys are excellent for pre-walkers, early walkers, and even toddlers on the run.
The dollhouse's energy efficient design includes a wind turbine, a solar
cell panel and electric inverter for generating electricity, a rain
barrel for collecting rain, a biofacade, which uses the natural cycle of
plant growth to provide shading, and a blind that can adjust the amount
of sunlight and air circulation. Also, recycling bins are included in
the set.
